Everyone at Leeds felt a little disappointed with the way that the match went against Sunderland. While the results aren’t really that important at this point in the season, the process certainly is, and despite facing a Sunderland team that has been in pretty dire form all season, Leeds still failed to win at home.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell has been one of the bright spots during the second half of the season, and he made a number of very good saves Saturday to hold Sunderland to one point.

He spoke to LUTV after the match, saying:

I thought we dominated, pretty much all the way through, even when we were down to ten men we had gone down to ten men, there was a chance for us to win it, but unfortunately we didn’t get that today.

It is nice to make some saves, but I would rather make none and we have a nice tidy game and win 2-0, but that is how it is sometimes.

The game was there for us to win, Sunderland came and tried their best and they tried to stop us, but we have to win those games and that is why we are where we are.

We all want to win and we are a bit disappointed we haven’t.

Two of the youngest players on the pitch, Peacock-Farrell and Paudie O’Connor, played pretty well and really should play the rest of the season. After all, if the current first team can’t get it done, might as well play some other ones.
