The Leeds U23s finished their season today with a bang, beating Bristol City 4-0 yesterday evening in their final match of the season. And boy, if these players can play like this in the first team, then Leeds are going to be brilliant.

Tyler Denton scored a brace in the final 11 minutes as Leeds overwhelmed the Robins in the final minutes of the match. Madger Gomes, who has appeared in the first team during preseason and against Newport County in the League Cup, provided the assists on both of Denton’s goals.
The first goal from Denton was a brilliantly worked team goal, with Gomes laying the ball off to Oriol Rey and making a run that no one bothered to pick up, and the glorious pass from Rey found Gomes unmarked in the box and Denton just made a good move to get in front of goal to tap it in.
For the second goal, Gomes beat his marker down the left hand side after being released by Denton, and after Gomes got into the box, he once again found Denton for the fullback to finish.
Don’t know how many of these players will play against Norwich City or Queens Park Rangers, but if Paul Heckingbottom is looking for players who have “earned” it, then maybe we’ll see a few of them in the next couple matches.
