Liam Cooper says he is proud to lead the team out at Elland Road as captain.
| "The relationship with our supporters is special" #LUFC captain Liam Cooper talks about his honour in leading out the team at Elland Road
— Leeds United (@LUFC) March 24, 2018
He is quoted by the club’s official website as saying:
It’s an honour to play for a club like this, let alone wear the arm band, but the feeling you get when you come out the tunnel and hear a full Elland Road is another level.
The fans are honest - they tell you when they like something and we know about it when they are not happy too!
The relationship with our supporters is special and I’m proud to be their captain.
Cooper hasn’t had the greatest season on the pitch, but his passion as captain has always been apparent.
