The Leeds United v Norwich City fixture appears to be the only one selected for viewing on Sky Sports. The match has been moved to later in the day, and will now be played at 17.30, but at least it is still on Saturday, 2 February. Norwich have two other games moved for television, with their match against Birmingham City moved to Friday, 18 January and their derby match against Ipswich Town will now be played at noon at Carrow Road.
Leeds United’s Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United will also make three appearances on television. Leeds are often a mainstay of Sky Sports, so either the matches didn’t make the grade this time around or Sky is getting revenge on Leeds for speaking out against the new TV deal between the Football League and Sky. Who knows. At least only one match has been moved to accommodate Sky this time around.
