Kalvin Phillips spoke of wanting to make Elland Road a “fortress” after picking up a good win at home over Bristol City.

Phillips said to LUTV:

They came here and tried to play a bit of football, which they succeeded with in the first half, but in the second half we put them under a lot of pressure and got the result.

The red card obviously helped us, with a man light Bristol were always going to struggle against a team like us.

We were very disappointed after the West Brom game, so we were very happy to get the win on Saturday.

We’ve spoken for a long time about making Elland Road a fortress and we want teams to be scared to come here.

After the work we did, with how we pressed and won the ball back from Bristol I think they were shook and towards the end of the second half, it was a quality show.
