Morning Leeds-in for 4 October: Leeds Twitter throws shade at Blackburn Rovers

Plus links for the day

This was actually pretty funny.

Leeds, along with Aston Villa, bring some of the largest away crowds in the Championship, if not English football. And yeah, it’s pretty funny to throw shade at Blackburn Rovers who have had attendance issues in the recent past about increasing the away allocation.

Of course, the fact that Blackburn actually responded to the tweet as if it was serious made it all the more funny. If there is a lesson to be learned from American sports, where the Twitter accounts tend to be rather informal and fun, is to respond to banter or baiting in the same vein, not try to “explain” things.

Anyway, good for social media team at Leeds.

On to the links.
