Apart from an injury to Yosuke Ideguchi, not much of note happened this week for Leeds’ loaned-out players. There are still a concerning number of players not starting for their clubs, with central midfielder Alex Machuca being the most recent player to join the list. Only 5 of the 16 players who are out on loan from Leeds managed to play an entire game this week, a number that has been declining quickly due to injuries and poor form.
Yosuke Ideguchi - CM, Greuther Fürth
Greuther got a 1-0 win this week over Dynamo Dresden, and Ideguchi got his fourth consecutive start, this time at center mid. Unfortunately, he came off with an apparent leg injury just 30 minutes into the match and did not return. Hopefully, this is nothing serious, but there has been no word from Greuther on the severity of the injury.
UPDATE: Ideguchi has torn his PCL, according to Greuther Fürth. If surgery is needed Ideguchi will be out for 6-9 months, but if it is not needed, then the recovery time drops to 12 weeks. It appears that Ideguchi’s season may be over, though Greuther not yet confirmed anything.
Laurens de Bock - LB, K.V. Oostende
Speaking of injuries, de Bock returned from his this weekend, spending a 1-3 loss to Standard Liege on the bench. Hopefully he will rejoin the starting eleven next week.
Jay-Roy Grot - FW, VVV-Venlo
Grot played well once again this week and has started to look like a real leader for VVV. He managed 6 shots, 55 touches and completed 74% of his passes in Venlo’s 1-0 loss to Excelsior. He also put a shot on target and hit the frame of the goal with another. With their 2 game wining streak snapped, VVV will look to get back on track on Saturday against PSV Eindhoven. The game will be streamed online for those with access to ESPN+, and it does not conflict with Leeds’ match (also on ESPN+).
Paweł Cibicki - FW, Molde FK
Molde upset first-place Rosenborg 1-0 at home, taking the lead at the 41 minutes in, before parking the bus for the remainder of the match. Cibicki played for 87 minutes before he was taken off for a defensive substitute.
Paudie O’Connor - CB, Blackpool FC
Blackpool played a well-contested 2-2 draw with Peterborough on Saturday, but Paudie O’Connor spent the entire match on the bench. They were also one of just two League One teams to have Tuesday off.
Mallik Wilks - FW, Doncaster Rovers
Mallik Wilks helped Doncaster to an exciting 3-2 win against Plymouth, a match that included two goals in the 90th minute. He had a nice assist on the Rovers’ second goal, making a wonderful run into the 6-yard box where he received the ball. He then it played between two defenders to the penalty spot, where Matty Blair easily finished it from 10 yards out. In Doncaster’s Tuesday match against Stanley, he did not make an impact and was subbed off after 54 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Accrington.
21’ Huge chance for Rovers as Wilks goes through on goal, however Ripley is there to deny the former Accrington man. 0-0 #DRFC #ACCDON

Eunan O’Kane - CM, Luton Town
O’Kane is out for the season with a leg injury.
Tyler Denton, LB, Peterborough United
Denton once again did not make the squad for either of Peterborough’s two games on Saturday and Tuesday.
Lewie Coyle - RB, Fleetwood Town
Lewie Coyle played 180 minutes in Fleetwood’s two games this week, which were a 1-3 loss to Barnsley and a 1-1 draw with Wycombe. He continues to quietly have a solid season defensively, though he has not added much to his team’s attack.
Hadi Sacko - RM, UD Las Palmas
Sacko made his first appearance in several weeks for Las Palmas, coming on as a 64th minute sub. He was unable to impact the game, and his side lost 1-0 to Sporting Gijon.
Vurnon Anita - CM, Willem II
Anita also made an appearance as a substitute this weekend. He came on at halftime for Willem, who lost 2-1 to De Graafschap, largely due to being shown 2 red cards. The 29-year-old was unable to make a noticeable difference in the game.
Liam Kitching - LB, Harrogate Town AFC
Kitching turned in another 90 minute performance for Harrogate, who are now tied for second place with Leighton Orient.
Alex Machuca - FW, Burgos CAM
As stated earlier, there was bad news this week for Machuca, who appears to be the victim of a formation change at Burgos. According to their twitter account, they are now playing in a 4-4-2, with two holding mids, meaning there is no room for the Leeds man to start at CAM. However, he was still the first man off the bench but was unable to influence the 2-0 loss to UDS.
Adrián Balboa - FW, Terrassa FC
Balboa got his first start in a few weeks, but he was unable to impress and was taken off as a part of a triple substitution for Terrassa in the 55th minute. After a 1-0 loss, Terrassa now sit 7th in group 5 of the Spanish third tier with 12 points through 8 games.
Oriol Rey - CM, UB Conquense
Oriol Rey got his first start in league play this weekend. He played the full game in a 2-1 loss to Atletico Baleares, and his team has now not won a league game since September 1st.
Oliver Šarkić - FW, Barakaldo CF
Šarkić was an unused substitute in a 1-0 win against Izarra.
