Let’s just pause for a second today to recognize the genius of Samu Saiz.

He’s been so good for Leeds United so far this season, that I think we tend to forget what the expectations were for him coming into the season. He wasn’t a household name in England, and it could be argued that he’d bounced around too much in La Liga to be anything other than a journeyman and that Leeds were gambling on him after a single good season in the Segunda Divisíon with Huesca. He’d been linked with an England before Leeds made the move for him, and aren’t we all glad he ended up here? Never discount the contribution that Victor Orta and Ivan Bravo have brought to Leeds. I know Orta’s time at Middlesbrough didn’t work out, but he’s doing wonders here at Leeds in recruiting and in bringing in players that match up with how Christiansen wants to play football.

Anyway, let’s just take a moment to ponder the grace and skill of Samu Saiz.

On to the links.
