Reports in Switzerland from RTS Sport have put Leeds in the frame for signing Reto Ziegler after the players contract expired at Swiss club FC Sion.
The left-back, who started his career with Grasshopper Zurich, has played in England before with Tottenham Hotspur and Wigan Athletic in addition to spells with Juventus and Sampdoria, and several loan moves.
Reto Ziegler (CB) linked, been at Juve, spurs and was Fc Sion's 'stand out player' would be great experience for a young side #LUFC

Last season Ziegler played at centre-back for FC Sion where he had a very impressive season. Much like with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, the player plays in positions where Leeds lack depth so a move wouldn’t be surprising.
Impressively for a centre-back the player scored 8 goals last season. The player is a bit of set-piece specialist and took a lot of free-kicks and penalties for FC Sion last season.
Ziegler would be the second arrival from the Swiss league this summer following the signing of Ezgjan Alioski from Lugano.
Of the two left-back/centre-backs linked over the last two days, I would consider Cameron Borthwick-Jackson the more likely to come in as the links have been more reliable but I wouldn’t say no to Ziegler provided his wages are reasonable.
