It’s that time of the year again, that tremendous honor footballers get to represent their country. Leeds United are a talented club and have their share of players that can play on the international level. Yesterday Northern Ireland and Sweden announced their squads for each respective World Cup Qualifier match.

Pontus Jansson gets his well-deserved call to represent Sweden. And hey! Look who it is! Filip Helander got the call to represent the Blågult. I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we see a Jansson-Helander troll selfie make the round on twitter. Sweden’s upcoming matches are against Bulgaria and Belarus. Jansson will face off against Sweden teammate Sebastian Larsson (Hull City) in December and January.

Stuart Dallas will get his 21st cap as Northern Ireland face off against San Marino and the Czech Republic. A lot more Championship players also got the call to rep Norn Iron. Conor McLaughlin (Millwall), Daniel Lafferty (Sheffield United), Liam Boyce (Burton Albion), Matty Lund (Burton Albion), Michael McGovern (Norwich City), Oliver Norwood (Fulham), Shane Ferguson (Millwall), and Tom Flanagan (Burton) are all faces that Leeds may see as enemies this season. Fun fact, midfielder Niall McGinn is the first player from Northern Ireland to play in the Korean K League (Gwangju).
Best of luck to both players, Pontus please use your magic to sway Helander, nobody gets hurt, please. MOT
