I love this thing we’re doing when we sign academy products from world-class teams in Spain. It makes me really excited for the future. One player that is almost completely in the door for Leeds United is Barcelona’s 17-year-old Bulgarian talent Kun Temenuzhkov. The striker has been linked to the Whites for a little while now and it looks like we’re going to get the youngster in.
For some odd reason, Temenuzhkov went to Manchester CIty’s facilities to complete his medical, starting rumors that the Citizens were trying to hijack the deal. Luckily these have been hushed down, as Albert Rogé, who writes for Spanish outlet SPORT, tweeted out that the Leeds deal is still gonna happen, that Kun Temenuzhkov went to Man City just to pass his review.
Me comentan que no hay cambios y que Kun fichará por el filial del Leeds. Ha ido a Manchester a pasar la revisión. Pronto oficial pic.twitter.com/lMoSOfnPLJ— Albert Rogé (@albert_roge) August 1, 2017
Luckily, all reports are saying that an official announcement that Leeds United have captured Kun Temenuzhkov from Barcelona. This medical was just a random bump in the road that was nothing serious. We’re going to be getting a classic poacher to add to the offense of the future. A centre-forward of the future, I wonder if he’ll be loaned out to Cultural Leonesa or play with the Academy. Either way, this looks to be a great signing as Leeds prepare to fight their way out of the Championship. MOT
