Leeds United and Sunderland are set to square off at the Stadium of Light on Matchday 4. The two sides are tied with 6 points, with the Black Cats ahead of the Whites on goal differential. But that hasn’t stopped most of our team at Through It All Together from feeling confident about our away clash.
Pete Schlenker:
Sunderland are better than I thought they would be at this point in the year, and that's entirely because of Simon Grayson. He's been a good hire for Sunderland. Even though Leeds have looked sort of toothless in front of goal, they're bound to score sooner or later. I'll be bold and say Leeds 2-1 Sunderland.
Jack Robshaw:
Leeds have a good record against Grayson teams since he left us and I think that will continue in this match. Sunderland have looked ok so far this season but I don't see them being able to keep out our attacking players. I think we will concede as the thought of Leeds keeping 3 consecutive clean sheets is too good to be true. Leeds 2-1 Sunderland
Leo Bownas:
The teams to me seem pretty similar and I'd expect both to be around the playoffs come the end of the season. Neither have found their rhythm yet and I expect that to continue on Saturday with a cagey draw. Hernandez to score Leeds goal. Leeds 1-1 Sunderland
Chris Lawley:
I've got some good memories of Leeds wins at the Stadium of Light, especially a 2-1 win with Michael Bridges and Jason Wilcox scoring in 2000. I'm hoping to repeat that. Leeds 2-0 Sunderland
Joshua Gilbert:
I think it will be hard to come out with all 3 points vs Sunderland, who have every right to think they are going back up. I think playing on the road will be difficult, but I don't see us losing this game completely. I think a draw is a nice outcome for us in this game, and the unbeaten streak needs to continue! Leeds 2-2 Sunderland
Mike Stehlik:
Sunderland have started out stronger than many might have expected and Leeds forgot how to score goals. Chris Wood’s situation isn’t helping us at all too. If he’s omitted then we could be in for an interesting day trying to score. Our defense stays on point, tho. Leeds 0-0 Sunderland
