Take a bow, Lewie Coyle.
The young Leeds United fullback, on loan at Fleetwood Town in League One, scored on his debut for Fleetwood in a 1-0 friendly victory against Scottish team Queen of the South.

Some of the hyperbole surrounding the goal described it as “DiCanio-esque”, and while the goal isn’t exactly a carbon copy of Paolo DiCanio’s wonder-goal, it was still a very good volley, especially from a defender.
Coyle joined Fleetwood on July 4th for a season-long loan.

Fleetwood Town just missed out on promotion to The Championship last season, losing in the playoffs to Bradford City. They also lost their first choice right back to playoff winners Millwall with Northern Ireland international Conor McLaughlin heading to London after being linked with a move to Leeds. McLaughlin had been out of contract, and so Coyle has a chance to step in and try and win a starting spot at Fleetwood.
Hope the good times continue at Fleetwood for the young Leeds defender. MOT
