In the midst of preseason action for Leeds United, the club is may be close to bringing in another attacking signing. Winger Boban Lazic took to Instagram to show a pic of himself in Leeds training gear.

Boban Lazic has had an interesting career up to this point. His footballing career started at Alphense Racing Club (aka ARC) but he left to join the Ajax Academy when he was 10. He signed his first professional contract with Ajax in 2012 and spent a season with Jong Ajax, the clubs reserve team. However, on the last day of the January transfer window in 2014, it was announced that Lazic was released from his contract. He was on trial at Ligue 1 club Stade Rennais and ultimately ended up signing a six-month deal with Olympiacos, with an option to add on two more years. Things never took off for the winger, as Lazic suffered an injury for the duration of the 2014-15 Greek Superleague season. Lazic returned to native Netherlands to play for PEC Zwolle for the 2015/16 season, having never featured for Olympiakos. Last season, Lazic played for Dutch second-division side FC Oss. In 32 appearances for the club, Lazic scored 4 goals and provided 9 assists.

Boban Lazic was once able to choose from three countries to represent on the international level. Eligible to appear for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and the Netherlands, Lazic has appeared for Netherlands u17s and Bosnia and Herzegovina u21s. He’s also told his national team coach that he wants to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina moving forward.

The more attacking signings we appear to make, the more time I spend pondering which Leeds players from last season are on the move. Brentford are rumored to want a reunion with Stuart Dallas and (wrongfully in my opinion) every time an attacking player gets brought in, Kemar Roofe’s name is the first to pop up when news outlets think of names to go. If the plan is to build a deep squad, I like it. I’d welcome Boban Lazic with open arms.

He’s currently rumored to be on trial, but how would YOU feel about the addition of Boban Lazic? Let me know in the comments! MOT
