This Sunday takes Leeds United Ladies to Malorie Park, Ripon to face Ripon City Ladies. The game is a memorial match celebrating the memory of Barry Colman, a dedicated fan. Ripon finished joint top of their league last year only losing one league match so they will be good opposition.
Leeds have an abundance of players available this week and will take a large squad many of which have played in previous Leeds teams, this where we will get a measure of how the squad is coming together and where they need to strengthen, with around a month before the first league game we should now be looking at strong performances with the right outcomes, whereas previous games were more about fitness and team building.
The game will no doubt be played in good spirits and there should be a reasonable crowd, kick off is at 2pm so if you fancy a trip to Ripon to watch the ladies version of the mighty Whites it should be an enjoyable afternoon for all.
Gorgeous day at @batleysports yesterday watching @LeedsUtdLadies V @scfc_ladies #ALAW pic.twitter.com/cEbfzYqxYC

Whatever happens in preseason should not be taken too much as a measure of how Leeds Ladies will start the season. The games are all planned to stretch Leeds to the limits so new players can bed in at the right level and experience the top quality facilities that Leeds have to offer and this will take time.
