Okay, so all of these transfer rumors keep coming true, it’s just strange. Normally links in the press are right about nothing, so to see rumors pop up and then the player actually signs? It’s downright bizarre. Samu Siaz, Felix Wiedwald, Mateusz Klich, Vurnon Anita all signed after being linked in the press, and now it appears another rumor is coming true.

Leeds United look to be wrapping up a deal for Macedonia international winger Ezgian Alioski from Swiss team FC Lugano, as they have been linked in the press for what seems like ages, and Lugano posted an update today that the player was absent from the team’s preseason match last Friday against Chiasso and a picture of him at training Sunday being “one of the last” because he was waiting for a move to an English club.

Of course, he could be headed to a different “English” club, but all signs are pointing that another target will be landed by Victor Orta and the backroom staff at Elland Road. The Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting that Leeds wish to have the Alioski transfer, along with any other new signings, sealed up before next week’s friendlies in Austria so that Thomas Christiansen will have plenty of time to evaluate their fitness and how he will use them in the squad.

Alioski is an additional attacking option for Leeds, after the 25 year-old scored an impressive 16 goals in 34 appearances for FC Lugano in the Swiss Super League. He also supplied 14 assists He’s normally been played as a left-footed right-winger or striker on the club level after starting out as an attacking left wing back. Leeds seemed to rely on the goal scoring of Chris Wood too much last season, so it’s nice to see the club address that need right off the bat. Now if only the club would sign a defender or two and the team would be set. MOT
