With all of these transfers coming in, it’s like Leeds United are a real football club again. Who knew?

After sealing the transfer for midfielder Mateusz Klich on Friday, it appears that Victor Orta and the team at Elland Road have gone back to Spain for the team’s next transfer. As we said earlier this week, Leeds are linked to Samu Sáiz from SD Huesca. While not on a lot of the radar of most Leeds fans, the midfielder has his fans in Spain. It seems a number of La Liga teams were apparently in the running for him, Leeds is now rumored to have nicked his signature from CD Eibar, and possibly some other teams, for a reported €3.5 million.

Samu Saiz scored 12 goals and assisted on eight more last season for Huesca. While Huesca failed to gain promotion in the playoffs, it seems that Saiz turned some heads while playing the Segunda Division.

It appears that the 26 year old Saiz spent most of his time in a withdrawn striker position for Huesca, but did play on the wing from time to time. If he is able to play alongside or behind Chris Wood, Leeds could feature a deadly strike force next season.

Along with the other rumored players, such as Ezgjan Alioski, and the confirmed signing of Klich, new Director of Football Orta and Head Coach Thomas Christiansen appear to be trying to solve the issue of goal scoring for Leeds. Of course, Leeds still appears to be in need of a left back and a centre back or two, but it’s early in the summer transfer window and maybe those will be be addressed after the attacking players have been signed up. Either way, it’s an exciting time to be a fan of Leeds United, with another new player or two popping up in the rumor mill almost every day.
