Nobody could have predicted the game we were going to have in last Saturday’s draw against Norwich. The 3-3 draw had everything, but it wasn’t enough to make today meaningful. At noon, Leeds United finish this season with a trip to Lancashire to face a relegated Wigan. The boys will want to end on a high note after missing out on the playoff positions and, for the final time this season, it’s prediction time. As usual, we would love for you all to get involved with your predictions. As always, the opinionated misfits in the TIAT office have given their forecast for today’s fixture.

Here's how we think today's game will go down...
Johnny Wakefield: 4-1 Leeds - It’s crazy to think of how far we’ve come since last season’s finale, where Steve Evans cried, thanking the fans, and Leeds finished mid-table. Now, we’re upset we’re not in the top six. But this team will be one I always remember, and I think they send us into the summer on a high note. Chris Wood needs four goals to hit 30 (in the Championship), and so I think he scores four goals today. Leeds win 4-1, Garry Monk signs a three year deal tomorrow, and we start preparing for our 2017/18 promotion campaign as soon as the final whistle sounds. MOT.
James Mahoney: 1-0 Leeds - I believe we will finish with a typical 16/17 Leeds performance, a charmed but spirited victory. Wigan have struggled this year and Leeds will be able to nullify any threat Wigan hold and take the points through a Bartley header (which hopefully won’t be his last in a Leeds shirt). I also expect to see a few of the youngsters being given a chance to showcase their potential as we look to next season and the endless possibilities which await Leeds United in the 2017/2018 season. MOT
Sean Ryan: Leeds 2-0 - The second half last week was magnificent. The first had me restrained by stewards because I was screaming that I was going to rip certain players heads off, but that's beside the point. Chris Wood will break the 30 for the season and Monk will get his contract. ALAW
Ben Mallis: Leeds 3-1 - Expect Leeds to come out with the freedom of a side that has zero pressure. One final victory to cap off what has still been a successful season.
Nestor Watach: 2-0 Leeds - Unfortunately, I expect Leeds to resemble themselves again now the pressure’s off. Wigan are a very poor team and their heads will have dropped following the certainty of relegation. A good result to cap off what has been a season moving in the right direction.
Matt Clark: 2-0 Leeds - This is an opportunity for the Whites to show the form they previously had before the collapse. With news of "new" ownership and the need to play for Garry Monk's contract, I think Leeds will be able to capitalize on a weak Wigan side that is already without Shaun MacDonald at midfield. Chris Wood should get one and I almost went on a limb to suggest a brace, but I can see Pablo Hernandez picking up the second. No pressure, playing for the coach and trying to finish strong should make for a good day for the Whites.
Anthony Linley: 2-0 Leeds - I predict Monk will make some changes for this one, some enforced and some loanees may not feature, although he will want to finish the season with a victory. Despite my best wishes for a youthful side full of attacking verve (and 7 goals) I feel he will still play it safe at the back and again rely on getting the ball to Wood. On the whole, this has worked throughout the season and United will be too strong for a demoralised Latics. Two goals will secure victory for the Whites (Doukara and Wood). MOT
Mike Stehlik: 14-0 Leeds - While a more realistic option (as pointed out in our preview) says that both Leeds and Wednesday need to win 7-0, I can't say I'd trust the Owls to achieve that result, no matter how well they play. So, we take it into our own hands to secure our playoff spot all on our own. Wigan won't have an answer for Chris Wood, he'll score 6. Kemar Roofe bags a hat trick, Pablo Hernandez and Kyle Bartley each score a pair, and Rob Green scores via a scissor kick off a corner in the dying seconds of the game. As the final whistle blows, Andrea Radrizzani walks down to the pitch with fresh 4-year contracts for Garry Monk, Kyle Bartley, Pablo Hernandez, and Charlie Taylor. Life is good again as we can continue marching on toward the Premier League this May. MOT
