A busy Easter weekend continues as Leeds United return home looking to pick up an important three points this afternoon. The last minute equaliser against Newcastle will give the team a lift as they look to secure the playoff spot.
Here at TIAT, we once again give our predictions and we would love for you to get involved with yours.
Remember: Leeds United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers, 3:00pm BST, TV Listings, Full Preview.
Here's how we think the match will go this afternoon...
James Mahoney: 3-0 Leeds - Leeds’ home form has been the foundation of our season and I believe this will continue against Wolves. I anticipate a similar performance from the Preston game. Leeds will dominate the game from start to finish. Goals from Pedraza, Bartley and a late strike from Doukara will see Leeds walk away with the 3 points.
Mike Stehlik: 3-0 Leeds - We're too dominant of a side to be losing a game against Wolves this late in the season. Momentum should be high thanks to stealing away a point at Newcastle, and I think we'll gather more momentum with the outcome of this game. Wood, Pedraza, and Roofe all put one in the net. MOT
Sean Ryan: 2-1 Leeds - Chris Wood to score the first and most likely the second. There's 12 points left and we need them all. Leeds will make a statement on Monday and get to work for the last 3 games.
Ben Mallis: 2-0 Leeds. A must win game at Elland Road and I believe United will get the job done. Chris Wood to score first and Leeds will move one step closer to Wembley.
Nestor Watach: 2-0 Leeds - We're too well balanced and well-drilled to let this slip now. We usually save our best performances for Elland Road and Roofe with Pedraza flanking Wood is showing signs of clicking as our best forward line. Wolves recent resurgence has stalled recently and they're a midtable side, so logic would dictate they won't test in the same way as Preston or Brighton. Keep Helder Costa quiet and they shouldn't cause us any problems. Convincing win.
Anthony Linley: 2-0 Leeds. Wolves are looking over their shoulder and actually needing a win. Leeds are looking over their shoulder and also need a win. League positions don’t lie at this point in the season, and so United are the more capable side of the two. Chris Wood is still on fire and the fans will answer Garry Monk’s call to get Elland Road rocking. Leeds will be too confident and too strong for Wolves. Wood and Doukara with goals.
Johnny Wakefield: 1-1 draw. I want to be wrong, but I think we might be overconfident going into this one, and Wolves will fight more than we expect. They’ll get an early goal, Pontus will get his yellow, and we’ll have to struggle and fight for an equalizer, but Chris Wood will get it, because he’s Chris Wood. The ticket to the play-off is not going to be easily won, especially without Jansson for the remaining three. (I still think we finish in the top six though). Again, hope I’m wrong about today.
