Thomas Christiansen said that even this bad loss can’t take away from a good December.

He’s right that Leeds have had an excellent December, although one has to question the lack of rotation to many of the attacking players over the holiday period so far. The team looked sluggish during much of the match, and tired players make dumb mistakes. There were plenty of dumb mistakes yesterday.

At the same time, Leeds really were due for a bad game. The team isn’t going to win every match, and while losing to the bottom team in the division is bad, it could have gone against a team that is currently chasing Leeds in the playoff races. I’d almost rather get the crap results out of the way in December and get through a stretch run in February and March with decent results. This team can play well against good opposition, and we’ll see what kind of additions are made in January.
