England playing at Elland Road?
England could play their final pre-World Cup friendly at Elland Road next summerhttps://t.co/rGyKBEKtcL pic.twitter.com/lAy1OuOYsI

England manager Gareth Southgate wants to play a couple of the “warm up” friendlies before the 2018 World Cup in Russia around the country, instead of all of them at Wembley. Elland Road is being considered to be one of the grounds that might host the national team. Is this a good thing? Well, it can’t be a bad thing, as the club would likely receive some compensation and a share of the gate. And this way local fans would be able to see England before they go off and underachieve play in the World Cup next summer without having to make the trip down to London.
But then again, what’s the point of having a national stadium if you’re not gonna use it? Just want to give Tottenham Hotspur a place to play instead of having to ground share with Arsenal or West Ham United?
Anyway, on to the links.
