Sky TV can’t get enough of Leeds United

Match against Sheffield United in February to be shown live on Sky Sports

Jock Hobbs Memorial Tournament

Well, this isn’t exactly a shock.

Leeds have announced that the 10 February 2018 fixture against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in Sheffield will be shown live on Sky Sports at 12:30 PM. The match had already been moved up to a 12:15 at the request of South Yorkshire Police.

The statement on the club website said:

Our forthcoming away Sky Bet Championship fixture against Sheffield United has been selected for live broadcast on Sky Sports.

The fixture date remains unchanged and the game will now kick-off 15 minutes later than scheduled, with the match having already been brought forward on the advice of South Yorkshire Police.

Leeds is one of the favourite clubs for Sky Sports to televise, so the ratings that Leeds pulls in must be pretty good for the club to feature over and over on live TV. It’s also good news for some overseas fans, as this means that fans won’t have to part with five quid to see the match live on TV if they already get the streaming service that will show the match live. WatchESPN in the United States, DAZN in Canada, and BeIN Sports in Australia and New Zealand are the usual services that routinely carry Leeds United.

Anyway, cheers to Sky for showing the match live!
