A lot of fans have said that Leeds need a left back in January. Gaetano Berardi, who is the first team player at left back, agrees with them. Wait, what?
A frank admission from Gaetano Berardi about the left-back position at Leeds United: “Probably the team need a better player than me.”https://t.co/vHZQ2V4MKR pic.twitter.com/sA3zUSddKQ

I can’t decide if Berardi is being honest to a fault or if this is his way of trying to say that he wants to go back to being a full-time right back. He’s filled in about as well as you could expect someone playing out of position all season, but the club need him to spell Ayling at right back and be a defensive sub rather than the full time starter at left back. And while the club has remained pretty mum on the actual targets, I would imagine some activity will take place in January.
