Matthew Pennington joined Thomas Christiansen at yesterday’s press conference before tonight’s match against Derby County at Elland Road. He sounded a bit like a Jedi talking to reporters, saying “I don’t think there’s a problem at the moment.” So you say these aren’t the droids we’re looking for?
Pennington: “If you look at the table we’re in a strong position. I don’t think there’s a problem at the moment.” #lufc

While I guess it’s great to see the positivity from the lad, I’m not sure I would call getting six points from the last 21 possible points a “strong position,” especially after gaining 17 of the first 21 possible points. While I guess all points count the same, and Leeds still are sitting in the playoff positions, it does seem a little odd to say that he doesn’t “think there is a problem at the moment.”
And maybe he’s right. Leeds are still sitting in a playoff position after 14 matches, and at the start of the season, most fans would have taken 5th place at the end of October. So while even if the club has endured a slide, at least the club has got it out of its system early, right? Right?
Just beat Derby, okay?
