Thomas Christiansen had his usual press conference today before the midweek League Cup match against Leicester City.

The biggest takeaways from the press conference were that Stuart Dallas is going to miss the match because of bereavement leave and that with Gaetano Berardi missing the match with a ban, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will be “in the squad.”

Christiansen also said about the match with Leicester that he was not going to be taking Leicester City lightly, saying that:

Leicester had a good win this weekend, a win that can give them confidence back.

You never know when’s a good time (to play another club). When a team are hurt and they’re suffering down the table, that’s probably when it’s most dangerous to face them. You never know when is the right moment.

We faced Burnley when they were seventh in the league, playing well and getting important points and we managed to qualify for the next round. Anything can happen.

He also said that he intended to try and compete in every match, but since he’s usually featured the second choice players in the Cup rounds, don’t expect to see a full-strength Leeds side, at least not in the starting XI.

Anyway, on to the links.
