Leeds United Ladies will face FA Women’s Premier League Northern Division 1 league leaders Hull City Ladies tomorrow, Wednesday 11 October, at Garforth Town AFC. Leeds have already played away at Hull City Ladies this season, losing the match 5-1.
Leeds Ladies have a tall task ahead of them, as Hull City Ladies have only one loss on the season and have cruised past all of their opponents in the league this season after winning five of their six matches and their only draw coming against Crewe Alexandria Ladies back on 10 September. Hull City revenged their only draw on the season last weekend in the Women’s FA Cup, as they were drawn away to Crewe Alexandria and won 4-1. Their only loss so far has come in the League Cup against Chester Le Street Town Ladies.
The Hull City attack is led by Hope Knight with six goals, and by Katie Thompson with five goals. Hull City is captained by Joanne Symington, and while the team has only kept two clean sheets this season, they are coming off of a impressive 3-0 victory over Liverpool Marshall Feds, who are 3rd place in the table, and Hull City have also beaten the second place team in the table, Brighouse Town Ladies, this season as well.
The coaches and the opposition were in agreement that the Player of the match should be awarded to Kez Huegett. Congratulations Kez pic.twitter.com/Co206WzSXb

Leeds United Ladies are coming off of a loss in the Women’s FA Cup this weekend against Sheffield United Ladies FC at Bramall Lane. And while it wasn’t the result that the team was looking for, playing at Bramall Lane provided a very special atmosphere. Carey “Kez” Hugett leads the team with four goals, while Matina Petrova and Liuli Dyson are tied with three goals each for second place.
To be perfectly honest, a win here would be a massive upset for the Leeds United Ladies, so if you can attend the match and cheer on the Ladies, it would be appreciated. Remember, tickets prices are quite reasonable and it’s fun for the whole family. Go out and support the women’s side of Leeds. All Leeds Aren’t We!
