Leeds United at Preston North End 2016 gamethread: Time, TV schedule, lineups and how to watch online

Familiar faces for Preston, a top 12 spot on the line, and Steve Evans' swan song? Plenty of intrigue in the season finale for Leeds United.

Another season comes to an end for Leeds United, another season in the middle of the Championship. We'll have a full postmortem on this season in the days to come, but for now, let's focus on today's match at Deepdale against Preston North End.

As the lads at Experimental 3-6-1 pointed out yesterday on Twitter, the Whites can finish no higher than 11th place, missing Steve Evans' goal of the top ten, thanks to their loss last week at home against Charlton. 11th would take a minor miracle at that, so the goal must be to hold on to 12th position and finish in the top half, a feat they haven't performed since 2010/11.

14th would be disastrous. Let's not do that. A win today would help make the move into the summer a little brighter, and might even save Steve Evans from Cellino's trigger-happy firing finger. We'll see on that... don't get your hopes up. We'll also get to see some familiar faces in the finale, with Beckford and Grayson on the Preston side. Read Anthony Linley's season finale preview, check out our Leeds Against The World Q&A with Preston blog Lilywhite Magic, and get ready for the last game of the season.
