August: not great. September: pretty damn great. October: also really great.
It’s high-living at Elland Road at the moment, no matter what Ben said in the October Review. We’re winning, climbing the table, and moving on in cup tournaments for the first time in too long. Everything is coming up white roses.
But now we have to make a difficult choice. The Through It All Together staff had plenty of difficulty choosing our Player of the Month for October, and we split our vote between several options, yet again. Pontus Jansson and Marcus Antonsson are off the list of potentials, as recent winners should be, and so we give the remaining options to you, our readers, to select your Reader’s Choice Player of the Month.
Luke Ayling: The man at right-back, playing a full 90 in all five league games in October. Important cog in a revitalized back line, never a missed tackle, plenty of heart.
Kyle Bartley: The captain, the other half of Bartsson, and a goal-scorer to boot, Bartley has helped anchor the team through another round of success, playing in all six October matches and making an impact on every one of them.
Marco Silvestri: One match, but that’s all that mattered. Brilliant in extra time and on PK’s against Norwich, almost single-handedly pushing us on to Anfield in the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup.
Chris Wood: Still scoring goals, still cupping the ear. With 490 minutes in six matches, and goals against Norwich, Wigan, and Burton Albion, Wood is the lead man in another month of Leeds United success.
As you might remember, a certain Swede with a magic hat won our poll last month, and while he certainly would have earned some votes again this month, we felt like giving these lads a chance was warranted as well.
Everyone saw this coming: @PJansson5 wins our September Reader’s Choice POTM with 86% of the vote! Congrats Pontus! https://t.co/c58QXN5bju pic.twitter.com/iEQmxtIV2P

We’ll be announcing our staff selection sometime soon, and then of course, on Saturday, we have a trip to Carrow Road and a league match against Norwich City, who will surely be looking for revenge. Let’s win that one and move on to the international break with all the hope in the world. Thanks for reading, thanks for voting, MOT.
