There is no question that Leeds will be pushed to their limits tomorrow by a Newcastle side that roll into Elland Road on a eight-game win streak and ten games unbeaten across all competitions. While the task of winning will prove difficult, it is by no means impossible for a Leeds side that have also found their form in this season's Championship campaign.

As with all crucial games, there is usually a player that makes the difference on the pitch and helps turn the tide of the match in his team's favor. Newcastle will have several players available who could make the difference in the form of Jonjo Shelvey, Dwight Gayle, and Yoan Gouffran. The Magpies have more than enough firepower at their disposal with a league-leading 34 goals so far.

So who can Leeds fans look to for a MOTM performance to give The Whites a win? Keep your eyes on these three crucial Leeds players.

  1. GK Rob Green: Leeds United fans are more than aware that Green can either win you a match or just as quickly lose you one. We will all be hoping that we get the Rob Green with the shot-stopping ability that launched him into the England national team spotlight, the Rob Green that has been solid in the last two months. Due to Newcastle's high-power offense, Green will likely be kept busy and Leeds will need him to be on top of his game to keep the Magpies off the scoresheet.
  2. LB Charlie Taylor: The man in the center of the latest Leeds transfer rumors also happens to be a player that the team will need to be at his best. There are many reasons why Taylor is on the wishlist for several Premier League sides, and one of those reasons is he is a modern left-back. Taylor is capable of running the left wing to great effect and can deliver dangerous crosses while also getting back in position when Leeds need him. A MOTM performance from him against a quality Newcastle side would see his transfer value immediately shoot up.
  3. ST Chris Wood: The man of the hour in attack for Leeds. He is the team's outright goals leader with 8 scored in the Championship so far. Second highest goal scorer? Pablo Hernandez with only 2. While that is a great stat line for Wood individually, it isn't so great for Leeds as a team. Newcastle will be able to concentrate their defense on Wood, so it will fall on his broad shoulders to find a way to remain the danger man and create openings for teammates around him.

Leeds United fans around the world will be watching eagerly to see how this one will play out. Just remember, Newcastle United fans are just as worried about us as we are about them, and that's something that hasn't been the case in quite a while.
