What a month September was. August was... not the best at Elland Road, as Leeds United finished the month in 21st place with 1 win, 1 draw, and 3 defeats in Championship play. Then, despite starting September with a frustrating loss at home to Huddersfield, the Whites bounced back to have their best month this decade and now sit in 11th place, four points off the play-off.

So who deserves the credit for the move up the table in September? Just like we did last month, we’re going to let you, our readers, vote for your Player of the Month. As we showed several times throughout September, United’s great month was due more to team performance than individual play, but there were still some stand-out performances.

We’re also going to have the reader vote start before we announce our staff winner, unlike last month when we probably biased all of you to vote for the beautiful Marcus Antonsson.

So here are your September nominees, in alphabetical order as always:

Kyle Bartley: 6 games, 4 as captain, 540 minutes, 1 goal, key in 3 clean sheets

Pontus Jansson: 5 games, 405 minutes, 1 assist, key in 3 clean sheets, 2 yellow cards

Eunan O’Kane: 5 games, 443 minutes, key in our strengthened defensive midfield

Chris Wood: 6 games, 408 minutes, 4 goals, 3 of them game-winners

Let’s see what you’ve got, TIAT Readers. On Wednesday, we’ll announce our staff pick, and on Friday, we’ll announce our winner and of course provide him with a Panini sticker he can be proud of. Vote away, and share the poll too if you want your guy to win. Looking forward to seeing who you select, our staff was pretty split. #MOT.
