Leeds United vs. Burton Albion 2016: Time, TV, lineups, preview and how to watch

Will we maintain the momentum from the last week? Or will the Brewers bring us back down to earth?

So after the last week, does anyone doubt Garry Monk anymore? Where are all those people who called for his firing in August? Remember the September international break? So good to not be in that dark place anymore.

Instead, Leeds United sit in the top ten in striking distance of the playoff. A win (and 7 goals and a lot of help...) today could actually put us in 6th. But it’s a long haul, and we’re just looking for points today. Let’s top 15th place Burton Albion, win next week’s rematch against Norwich City, and have the best international break in recent memory.

Our Anthony Linley wrote a full preview, we’ll have live-tweets from Ben Mallis over at @ThruItAllLIVE, and of course all the info and predictions here in the gamethread. Enjoy this one today, Leeds fans. It’s been the best week in quite awhile, here’s hoping we stay on this high. MOT.

PREDICTIONS

Johnny Wakefield: 1-0 Leeds. We score just enough to win, because that’s who we are, and #Bartsson and Green keep us another clean sheet.

Anthony Linley: 2-0 Leeds. If Burton’s last 5 league games are anything to go by, they are actually in better form than United. But when momentum is rolling and confidence is high, like it is, the Whites can be unstoppable.

James Mahoney: 3-0 Leeds. After the victory on Tuesday night, Elland Road will be rocking this afternoon and the lads will feed off the crowd and dictate and dominate the game from start to finish in a convincing victory. Wood to score a brace in the first half and Bartley to add the third late on in the game. MOT

And here’s how you’re feeling...

So, win then? Sounds good. MOT
