Leeds United vs. Wigan Athletic 2016: Time, TV, lineups, preview and how to watch

Another Tuesday at Elland Road, another mid-week fixture against a relegation-zone opponent.

Elland Road

Remember Blackburn and Blackburn in September? We’ve had some success on Tuesday nights at Elland Road this season, and tonight, Leeds United faces another relegation-zone club in Wigan Athletic under the lights.

With only 2 wins on the season, Wigan has struggled, and Garry Monk and company will hope to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat at Derby. #alliteration.

Our Joshua Gilbert put together our match preview, we have all the info and predictions you need below, and we’ll be live-tweeting as usual on @ThruItAllLIVE throughout the match. Let’s hope we get back on track tonight... a win likely puts us in the top ten.

PREDICTIONS

Johnny Wakefield: 2-0 Leeds. We’re better, we’re at home, simple as that.

Matt Robinson: 1-0 Leeds. I’m pretty sure Gary Monk would have dished out a bit of a bollocking for how poor Saturday was, and I'm confident it was a one off. Tonight won't be great, we'll still struggle to score, but Wigan are really poor so we'll beat them anyway. Chris Wood will bundle one in from close range while running into the post.

Sean Ryan: Leeds 2-0. Wigan are sh***, but Leeds are less sh***. We've been decent as of late and I'm hoping, praying we keep it up. Antonsson to score off the bench as well.

James Mahoney: 1-1 Draw. I think the hangover from the international break will continue and we might struggle tonight. However, just because of the Calibre of Wigan we will scrape through with a point.

Joshua Gilbert: Leeds 3-0. I think that given the urgency to get back on the winning track, Leeds should explode offensively this game. I feel like The Whites will dominate every aspect, and we’ll comfortably win. Hopefully the crowd shows up on a Tuesday night, and the fans go home happy as we climb back up the table.

And here’s how you’re feeling...

Yeah, we’re confident too. MOT.
