As stated by the official site, Leeds' Robbie McDaid is set to join his compatriots in matches against Scotland and Iceland in September.

McDaid is another one of team's young players who has earned their call to a national team, which is a great proof of how well the club's academy is doing.

"It came as a bit of a shock but obviously I'm delighted," Mcdaid told the Ulster Herald.

"I wasn't really expecting it to be honest because I have this year and the next two at this age group."

Leeds are already known for their ability to produce talent and as a team who is not afraid to trust young players on a weekly basis.

Matches will take place on 05.09 and 08.09 with Scotland and Iceland respectively.

In his first season at Elland Road, the 18-year-old has impressed, and this year he's looking better than ever. His contract ends in June making this appearance with Northern Ireland even more crucial.
