Not very good news for anyone who's a fan of Leeds newest signing Tom Adeyemi. As TIAT reported today, the Cardiff midfielder signed a one-year loan in sight of a permeant deal at Ellond Road.

But the bad news is that Inside Futbol is reporting the 23-year-old has apparently received an ankle injury, and will most-likely not play in the upcoming preseason game against York City on Wednesday.

This comes just hours after his signing with Leeds was made official. Before he came to Leeds, there was some speculation about his health, this was one of the concerns.

While it's not cause for panic- Uwe Rosler's team has done their due diligence on the new signing. It is a disappointment for anyone looking forward to watching him.

Adeyemi doesn't seem too worried. He told LUTV: "I've just had a little knock on my ankle so I've missed a few days of pre-season training.

While he won't play on Wednesday, he is looking forward to playing for Leeds when they tour Austria:

"It's just a case of getting it right, getting back up to speed and then hopefully I'll be able to join in with the games in Austria.

The club tours Austria July 18-24.

He went on to tell LUTV: "I feel pretty fit. There were some tests at Cardiff for pre-season and I did pretty well in them so I feel I've got a good base of fitness."

He also understands the privilege it is to wear a Whites jersey, and also acknowledged how he's going to do everything he can to make sure the fans have a first-class product on the pitch.

"I know the fans are very demanding and they like players to work hard and show commitment to the cause - and that is something I'll definitely be doing."
