It wouldn't be a transfer window without Leeds being linked with a former player.
Smith, Beckford, Howson, Johnson o and Max Gradel how can I forget.
During this window, Becchio appears to be first but will he be the last?
In previous windows, Gradel was linked, with some fans suggesting it was a publicity stunt to try and shine a positive light on the club.
But the YEP now believe that Redfearn has asked Massimo Cellino to try and sign the former Elland Road favourite.
The Argentinean left Leeds in January 2013 after netting 87 goals for the club. His performance during that campaign helped Leeds survive in what a miserable campaign to say the least.
After joining Norwich, Becchio struggled to get a first-team chance and he was shipped out on loan to Rotherham United earlier this season. He then picked up a heel injury and he is now on the way back to regianing full fitness.
Redfearn is thought to be looking for a targetman and of course Becchio fits the bill. His Championship experience will be vital as Leeds look to improve their position in the Championship table.
Before we debate whether the move will be as good as his first spell, we must be patient with the rumour now in the early stages.
Twitter and Facebook will go into meltdown on this one and it could dominate the rest of the window.
