McCormack Completes Fulham Switch

Leeds United striker Ross McCormack has joined Fulham on a four-year deal for a reported £11million.

If you have only just woken up then no your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. £11million is the reported figure by a number of sources.

The deal ends many weeks of speculation and once again sees another captain leave Elland Road. While it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, it's hardly surprising to see owner Massimo Cellino accept such a high figure.

McCormack has signed a long-term deal with the option of a fifth year which in all honesty is a great deal for the Scotland international.

Cellino appears to have played hardball on this move and it's paid off, the question now is how much will be reinvested. Losing last year's top scorer in the Championship is always going to be difficult but with around £9million to spend (Cardiff were owed 15% of the deal) we could build on our drab squad.

Apart from the idiotic few, McCormack goes with the wishes of most Leeds fans, after he kept the club up last season.

For now United move on once again. Another summer with our best player sold, maybe this year we will fight back and reinvest.

Only time will tell.
