Earlier this weekend, the Yorkshire Evening Post reported that owner Massimo Cellino had pulled out of the deal for Viviani.
The Roma midfielder was at Leeds' friendly against Mansfield last Tuesday night but was reportedly disappointed by their performance as they crashed to a 2-0 defeat.
Ever since that game, the deal has looked doomed with Viviani and his agents making their way back to Italy over the weekend. Last Thursday Cellino seemed confident a deal could be reached but talks appeared to have broken down between all parties.
Despite Cellino's claims Leeds appear to have ironed out the differences with the midfielder who now appears to be the latest signing at Elland Road. The YEP's Phil Hay now suggests that a deal has been reached ahead of the loan move.

The young playmaker was captain of Roma's Primavera side last year and he scored five goals in 27 games while on loan at Pescara and Latina.
According to various YouTube clips he appears dangerous from set-pieces but many previous players have looked good on videos before failing to deliver at Elland Road.
If the deal can be completed this week, it will be a huge boost to coach Dave Hockaday who now has less than two weeks to prepare his squad before the first game of the season against Millwall.
