Nothing surprises me with Leeds United anymore but in a bizarre turn of events Lee Peltier has joined Nottingham Forest on loan until the end of the season.
With the takeover failing and Wickham leaving we thought the dramatic day was done. But of course this is Leeds United.
Former boss Neil Warnock is being linked with the Forest job after Billy Davies was sacked earlier on Monday morning. At first jokes surfaced as fans were desperate for the former boss to take Michael Brown, David Norris, Peltier and co with him.
Well someone somewhere has answered our prayers and the right-back has left and will now play his football at the City Ground.
The former Leicester City man has made 73 appearances for the club since joining in 2012, with most of them ending in embarrassment. His inability to pass, or stand in the correction position will haunt me for a long time.
In our 5-1 defeat to Bolton earlier this month, he made countless errors on the right and as a result was replaced by Sam Byram at half-time.
Brian McDermott's decision to let Peltier go will hopefully turn into a permanent move, quite simply the move hasn't worked out. In his defence, Peltier's best performances have come at centre-back. But in a time when most of our squad have showed a lack of fight, talent or potential it seems he is one of the first victims in what could be a big clear-out by McDermott.
However, overall his performances haven't cut it - plain and simple.
Thanks for the emails Lee, I'll always remember them!
