It seems that the social media world has gone a little mad today, with takeover talk and incoming player deals causing many to stress more than necessary.
Yesterday's statement from the club gave everyone a lift, although we had heard the rumours in recent weeks. With Cameron Stewart apparently close to signing, McDermott is reportedly out looking for his second signing of the window.
The news saw people go crazy, who could it be? Are they good? Will they actually come to Leeds? What if we can't afford him and so on. Well according to Phil Hay of the Yorkshire Evening Post, the man McDermott wants is Crystal Palace winger Jimmy Kebe.
See it isn't all bad?
Reports suggest that Leeds are among a number of clubs after his signature, with Leicester City and Brighton also interested. United may be winning the race though, due to McDermott's relationship with the winger - with the pair winning promotion with Reading to the Premier League.
Kebe moved to Selhurst Park in August, with a loan move apparently more likely at the moment. The Mali international has only played on six occasions since then and Tony Pulis could be tempted to let him leave the club.
McDermott is hoping to bring in Kebe, as well as Stewart before Saturday's Derby game against Sheffield Wednesday.
