Despite only being a Leeds fan for 22 years, I've seen some pretty depressing moments that some fans will never experience.
Points deductions, player sales, near extinction, lack of funding, countless protests. You get it. All have made us stronger as fans to succeed and get the club back to where it rightfully belongs.
The problem being is our squad hasn't been good enough to return, due to a lack of funding. Many managers have tried and failed, but Brian McDermott's appointment was met by relief.
Finally we had found a man with the potential to do great things. Yet today's events have shocked me and others beyond belief.
The rumours were there, but never in a million years did I think Leeds United could do something so stupid. GFH promised to keep the fans at heart, yet they've done the exact opposite with a spineless decision.
McDermott had only been in charge at the club for nine months, but he got what it meant to be Leeds. Something that many have tried and failed.
Despite his short tenure he had the fans on board, and many were willing to give him time. Our recent run of results haven't been the best but it has been overshadowed by a farcical situation. Striker Ross McCormack publicly showed his support, and has since spoken of his dismay at the decision on Sky Sports News.
McDermott can leave the club with his head held high, the way he has been treat is a disgrace and it has left many, including myself devastated.
The fans and McDermott don't deserve this...and enough is enough. Leeds United have once again lost the plot.
When speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, McDermott wanted to thank every fan from the bottom of his heart for their support.
Here's one fan returning the favour, and apologising on behalf of my disgrace of a football club.
