Millwall vs Leeds United: Stat Preview

Andrew Dalton once again looks at some pre-match stats - this time for our game against Millwall.

Richard Heathcote

Apologies about missing Newcastle, was laid up with flu! Still managed to get to the game mind! Thought we did OK, just yet again missing that little bit of quality in the final third! On to our trip to the Den!

Mixed record:

Since relegation from the Championship, we have actually met Millwall every season bar one! 2006-07, in which Millwall were in League one. Our record at the Den is mixed to say the least. We have won three, drawn one and lost four.

Below is our results from 2004-05 onwards:

Season 04-05 drew 1-1 Hulse

Season 05-06 Won 1-0 May OG

Season 07-08 Won 2-0 Prutton, Hughes

Season 08-09 Lost 1-3 Becchio

Season 09-10 Lost 1-2 Kisnorbo

Season 10-11 Lost 2-3 Becchio, O’Brien

Season 11-12 won 1-0 Mccormack

Season 12-13 Lost 0-1

We have used a mix variety of kits at the New Den since 2004-05, using all White in 04-05, 05-06, 11-12, All yellow was worn in 07-08, 08-09, 09-10 and 10-11, and last season we wore the Blue tops with Navy blue shorts.

Again since relegation from the Premiership, Brian McDermott will be the 5th different manager to take a Leeds United side to the Den. Kevin Blackwell was in charge for the games 04-05 and 05-06, Gary McAliister 07-08 and 08-09, Simon Grayson 09-10 and 10-11, Neil Warnock 11-12 and 12-13 and now McDermott. Notice how each manager lasted two visits to the Den!

Back in Season 2004-05, Leeds had sold Scott Carson to Liverpool and in return Paul Harrison joined on loan for a month, by the time we visited the Den at the start of March, his loan was up and it is understood that Frazer Richardson was back up to Neil Sullivan. However in the lead up to the Millwall game, Leeds brought in Kevin Pressman.
