West Brom Continue to Scout Sam Byram

Leeds right-back is apparently a transfer target for Premier League side West Brom.

According to the Birmingham Mail - West Brom are still pursuing their interest of Leeds right-back Sam Byram.

The Mail reports that West Brom manager Steve Clarke watched Byram in our 1-1 draw with Leicester on Tuesday night.

It's the second time Clarke has cast his eyes on the right-back - he was also a member of the crowd in our 2-2 draw with Wolves in February.

With GFH Capital on board - Leeds fans are hoping, myself included that the club will be able to palm away the clubs that will club in for our improving youngsters.

We've quite simply had enough of the best talent leaving the club and this years emergence of Byram has got the fans excited once again.

Byram has come through the ranks as a youth product, and thanks to our piss-poor squad this summer got his chance under Neil Warnock. He's taken it with both hands unless a miracle occurs...he will be the player of the season by a country mile.

There's no doubt a move to West Brom will appeal, but we've got to hope Byram stays put - it's time to start building our team round the likes of Sam and setting up a platform for many years to come.
