So following defeat at Blackburn on Saturday, its back to hopefully "fortress Elland Road" with three precious championship points!
Here’s a quick preview:We have only played Wigan five times in our history, three FA Cup ties, and two league games back in Season 04-05.
In the 2-0 defeat at home to Wigan on Halloween 2004, a certain David Healy made his debut for the Whites, but the Sky cameras saw the visitors take all three points thanks to goals from Alan Mahon and Jimmy Bullard!
Our other home game against the Latics, again in front of the sky cameras, saw a classic FA CUP 3rd round replay in which the Whites lost out 4-2 on penalties! Leeds went behind three times and on each occasion responded thanks to two from David Healy (1p), and a screamer from Gary Kelly!
Did you know Wigan will be the fourth team this season, to face Leeds as their first game with a new man at the helm.
Oscar Garcia replaced Gus Poyet at Brighton.
Steve McClaren replaced Nigel Clough at Derby (Darren Wassall was incharge for one game).
Aitor Karanka replaced Tony Mowbray (Mark Venus had a couple of games in caretaker).
Graham Barrow will be in caretaker charge of the Latics following the sacking of Owen Coyle on Monday.
Finally our midweek record in the league since the start of the year 2013:
Middlesbrough (a) 0-1
Blackpool (h) 2-0
Leicester city (a) 1-1
Peterborough United (h) 1-1
Burnley (h) 1-0
Reading (a) 0-1Bournemouth (h) 2-1
