Did you know in the 95/96 season, we actually played Derby three times at the Baseball Ground. We met them in a pre season friendly winning 2-1 thanks to goals from Gary McAllister and Phil Masinga. We then drew them in the third round of the League Cup winning 1-0 thanks to a header from Gary Speed and finally we battled back from 2-0 down to defeat ten man Derby 4-2 in a thrilling 3rd round FA Cup tie thanks to goals from Speed, Deane, McAllister and finally Tony Yeboah, in front of the Sky Cameras.
