Leeds Defender Joins Chester on Loan

Leeds United defender Ross Killock has moved on loan to Chester for a month.

Killock has yet to make an appearance for the first-team but did feature in pre-season in a number of friendlies. The centre-back has a number of players in front of him, with Jason Pearce, Tom Lees and Scott Wootton all playing on a regular basis.

With no experience at this level it would need a major injury crisis for Killock to get a game. The 19-year-old spent time on loan last season in the Conference Premier, with Alfreton, and he is expected to join up with his new team-mates and make his debut on Saturday against Gateshead in the FA Cup.

Chester currently sit 22nd in the table after promotion from the Conference North and they've won just one of their last seven matches.

A decent loan spell will allow Killock to get some more first-team football and sharpness but it would be good to see him play in a higher league. A move to a League One club or League Two could do him the world of good but for now we wish him all the best at Chester.
