Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has confirmed he's made approaches for certain players on loan as his current squad continues to look thin on the ground.

Warnock is hoping to add to his squad before the trip to Cardiff, as they are set to travel to Wales without Paul Green, David Norris and Michael Brown.

Although Warnock has said in the past he'd hoped to not use the loan window, it appears that the boss has no choice.

Speaking to the club's official site, Warnock said:

"We're going to have to use it sensibly. If we lose two or three we'll have to do it, and that's what we're looking to do.

"We've asked about a couple of midfield players and we should know early this week because we need someone in there. We're looking at what there is around."
