Leeds United's solid start to the 2012/13 campain has been interrupted over the weekend by the first international break of the new campaign.
The Whites only had two men in action though as Rodolph Austin represented Jamaica whilst Aidan White was in action for the Republic of Ireland Under 21's.
Ross McCormack was an unused substitute for Scotland after finally forcing his way back into the International fold while Tom Lees may play some part for the England under 21's on Monday night as they take on Norway.
Rodolph Austin:
The Jamaican International is already a fans favourite at Elland Road and United's new hard man got himself on the scoresheet during Jamaica's surprise 2-1 victory of the USA. Jamaica found themselves 1-0 down before a thumping Austin free kick dragged them back into the game and Luton Shelton went on to grab Jamaica's winner in the second half. The two sides meet again on Tuesday and unfortunately for United, Austin will be travelling all the way to the USA just a matter of days before United's crucial league game with Cardiff. You can see Rodolph Austin's goal in the video below.
Aidan White:
Unlike Rodolph Austin, Aidan White was on the wrong end of a 2-1 result as the Republic Of Ireland under 21's were defeated. It was a defeat that ended Irish hopes of qualifying for Euro 2013 but White is expected to gain more international experience in the team's final qualifiying match against Italy on Monday.
Hopefully Ross McCormack and Tom Lees will get some game time for Scotland and England Under 21's respectively, in their sides' next qualifier. However for selfish reasons, hopefully not too much so that they are fit and raring to go for Cardiff away this Saturday.
