Leeds Manager Neil Warnock has hailed the signing of Lee Peltier from Leicester City, and declared that the jigsaw that is his squad, is almost complete.
The 25-year-old right back signed a three-year deal on Saturday and the United boss has admitted for alot of the summer he thought Peltier was a player he would not be able to go for.
He told the club's official website:
"I'm delighted, he's a player who I didn't think we'd be able to afford at the start of the summer. My target was Joel Ward as everyone know, and that drifted away and I was disappointed at the time, but when it became clear we go for him I was delighted.
It took a little bit longer than we thought, but negotiations do sometimes, and it's good to get it over the line. He's strong and exciting, and it's looking okay."
Peltier has become the White's10th signing of a busy summer and Warnock admits he is still looking to bring in a couple of signings before the season kicks off.
"Every manager wants another two or more players and ideally I'd like another striker and a wide right. If you look at what we've done over the summer we've managed to get the players in place. We've got a decent team spirit and Saturday was another step.
We've got Burton on Tuesday now and next Saturday will be difficult because they are a good side, but I'm sure the new lads will want to do well at Elland Road."
