Neil Warnock has expressed he's no fan of pre-season and is looking forward to organising the new squad as the new season draws closer.

Warnock admitted earlier in the week that the next few weeks will see him focus on his own structure ahead of the first game against Wolves on August 18th.

The pre-season campaign has been a successful one in terms of results with the Whites unbeaten in five games. As the fitness levels have increased, the general structure of the team has become clearer with Warnock sticking by certain players. With two pre-season games to go, as well as the Capital One Cup tie vs Shrewsbury Town, Warnock is now turning his attention to the organisation side of the game.

Speaking to the official site, Warnock said:

"It's going to be hard with all the travelling they've done this week. Being honest, I'll be glad when Saturday night comes if we have no injuries. Irrespective of results we've had a great few weeks. I hate pre-season, and pre-season games. I'm not a friendly man - that won't surprise you! - and I can't get carried away with friendlies.

Sometimes the players play as I feel, and it's a matter of getting the fitness, but you need the competitive edge and I can't wait for the Wolves game. But It'll be nice to get the players in and back and have a couple of games before then to work on the organisational side.

Sometimes you have to patient, and it's pointless doing too much before. We've had a few players missing at times, like Paddy and Luciano, and we should have another player in, hopefully for Saturday.

I'd like to start the work on the organisation side when everyone is in place."
