Leeds United manager Neil Warnock was pleased with Leeds' 1-1 draw against Sanefjord on Wednesday night.

The Norwegian second division outfit proved tough opponents for United, with the Leeds players increasing their fitness levels as the new season draws closer.

New centre-half Jason Pearce scored for the Whites but the home side pulled one back earlier on in the second half.

Warnock said:

"It was a good workout. I thought we looked a bit jaded in the second half, similar to Torquay really, but they've worked really hard and with all the travelling it was to be expected.

But overall it was a good workout, the fans turned out in numbers and it was a good pitch. Norris got his first run-out and I think it was a good fitness programme for us. They're the fittest team we've played so far and that's to be expected.

There were some good plusses though. We tried different things. You can see we haven't got much organisation in so far because it's all been about fitness, but we've got to start now because we have so many new players in and they need to know what I'm expecting from them in certain situations so they know where they are."
